Are you interested in using technology and innovation to do things differently? Are you looking for a challenging and motivating role to get your teeth into? We are looking for permanent full or part-time salaried GPs to join our team at Beaumont Leys Health Centre in Leicester! The Practice We have a diverse population of 7000 patients from around the globe, some of whom have complex needs. The Beaumont Leys area has a younger population, a higher unemployment rate and a lower rate of home ownership than the national average. As a practice, we support some patients affected by drug and alcohol problems, people seeking asylum, a halfway home for families leaving homelessness and forensic patients. We know this can be a challenge. But it also means Beaumont Leys Health Centre is not a boring place to be a GP. It is interesting, challenging and rewarding, with patients friendly and grateful for the support and help provided by the practice. We have an opportunity to make a real difference, working innovatively and in partnership with stakeholders across the health and social care community to best meet the needs of our patients. The practice was rated as “good” at the last CQC visit in 2016 and uses SystmOne. We provide a full range of Essential, Additional, Direct Enhanced and Community Based Services between the core hours of 8am to 6:30pm Monday to Friday. We benefit from being housed in shared NHS premises and are working in partnership with Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust to provide more joined up primary care, community nursing and specialist nursing services around the needs of patients, in the practice, in homes and in the wider community. We are focused on developing the practice and continuing to improve the care our patients receive. The Role Our approach is focused on empowering patients to self-manage, giving brilliant access for patients and delivering great care – all with a sensible workload for our clinicians. You will be working within a skilled and friendly team to deliver face-to-face, telephone and e-appointments, including a practice manager, combination of nurses, pharmacists and healthcare assistants, and an administration team, plus a Leicester based head office team providing human resources, finance and IT support. People mean the world to us and we believe in providing great support for all our team members. You will have 1:1 support and protected clinical supervision time with the clinical lead for the practice. Our Medical Director is Dr Richard Palin, responsible for ensuring that quality is at the heart of everything we do, providing a framework for clinical governance and supporting our clinical teams. Come and work at Beaumont Leys for a motivating experience – one that will make you want to get up in the morning and come to work with a spring in your step!
