What we do:

At least half a million children in England don’t have a safe or stable home. These children and their families face some of the worst life chances, but we know that great social work has the power to change this.

That’s why Frontline was set up as a charity in 2013. We recruit and develop outstanding individuals to be social workers and leaders to transform the lives of the most vulnerable children and families.

We also develop first line managers through our prototype of Firstline, our leadership programme for those directly managing practitioners. Our Fellowship network supports all individuals that complete extended leadership development programmes with us, they are a group of outstanding leaders working towards our collective mission.

This broad and varied role sits within the Operations Department, which is at the heart of the charity, providing support and guidance to ensure we make the best and most effective use of all our resources to deliver our priorities and long term goals. We are seeking a Governance, Legal and Compliance Manager to join the team to champion good governance and to develop Frontline’s compliance approach.

The role:

We are looking for a highly driven individual for a busy and challenging role that focusses on governance, compliance and organisational legal support.

  • You’ll oversee the legal and policy framework of the charity including managing relationships with multiple pro bono law firm partners.
  • You will promote and encourage a culture of decentralised responsibility for compliance.
  • You will support the Chief Executive Officer, Senior Leadership Team and Board of Trustees to ensure excellent governance of the organisation.
  • You will add strategic and commercial value to Frontline by driving improvement on internal legal and compliance risk management, whilst working on a number of exciting projects to help strengthen the foundations of Frontline.

Offering: 30 hours per week (equivalent to 4 days a week with flexibility in how these hours are structured)

Please read the documents below before applying and the deadline is Monday 28th May 2018, midnight.
