Inews.co.uk is undergoing a rapid expansion with an aim to be more competitive in the digital news environment. Launched in April 2016, inews.co.uk has already been industry recognised for its content, now in 2018 we need to turn this recognition into a market leading news platform driving commercial revenue back to the business, and expanding the footprint of the i brand.




THE ROLE: The role will be primarily focussed on partnerships to drive commercial revenue to the inews.co.uk platform, selling various revenue driving opportunities, including Content Partnerships, Display, Enterprise, Programmatic and Social. There are several external and internal stakeholders to manage, and to be truly successful in this role the Account Manager will need to be able to maximise the resource available, pulling people together, spot opportunities, be entrepreneurial in their approach with a can do attitude. Understanding of all aspects of the digital market is a must, as the role will interact with all aspects of the business. This role will report into the Head of Sales, and be a linchpin between the existing commercial team, embed themselves into the inews.co.uk team with the editor Luke Lewis (ex Buzzfeed), and in particular become a key conduit between 1XL, JP and inews.co.uk.


Key responsibilities of the Account Manager / Digital Enterprise Executive, London:


  • Execute digital strategy as set by Head of Sales for maintenance, growth and new business clients.
  • Work with team to deliver revenue growth across agencies, 3rd party partners and clients
  • Work with 1XL to utilise their data and ability to amplify the inews.co.uk audience through the 1XL network
  • Maintain a constant focus on short and long term revenues
  • Be familiar with detail of all client and agency trading contracts
  • Support Head of Sales on digital strategy
  • Project manage solutions and business development ideas alongside commercial and editorial lead
  • Create and update all sales collateral to help drive revenue, making sure wider commercial team are aware of new data, numbers and content opportunities
  • Cultivate relevant agency relationships to ensure inews.co.uk gains more recognition in agencies and clients
  • Ensure agencies and clients are updated on all inews.co.uk, news and initiatives
  • Be expert on all elements of your Agencies and their client’s business and share this knowledge internally where relevant
  • Coordinate with the creative teams to deliver best-in-class pitches across the brand
  • Consistently push new and innovative ideas across all relevant digital platforms
  • Work with Head of Sales, Ad Ops and Agency team to manage effective digital campaign management from booking through to completion of campaign with relevant reporting


THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate for the Account Manager / Digital Enterprise Executive position will have had previous experience in a broad commercial role within a digital business, and have the ability to offer creative solutions to contribute to revenue growth



Key Experience/ Characteristics required for the Account Manager / Digital Enterprise Executive position based in London
  • Expert knowledge of the evolution and landscape of digital sales.
  • Experience in managing projects from booking through to completion
  • Some agency, client, content & 3rd party publishing contacts (taboola/outbrain)
  • Proven negotiation skills with the ability to close complex partnerships
  • Solid experience adapting to industry changes
  • Experience in generating broad agency deals
  • Experience in working within a multi stakeholder environment
