JOB TITLE: Dispensing Assistant Full and Part Time

SALARY & BENEFITS: Competitive dependent on previous experience

WORKING HOURS: 8.30am – 6.15pm (including Saturdays)

THE ROLE: As a Full Time Dispenser / Pharmacy Dispenser you will report to the Dispensary Manager and be responsible for providing a professional and accurate dispensing service to patients and driving forward their customer service to ensure that all customer requirements are met.

There are currently 2 roles available . 1 Full Time dispensing Assistant and 1 part time assistant.

There is also the opportunity for the part time role to include administration and marketing duties. This would suit somebody looking to work the companies social media platforms and assist with general administration duties.

Full dispensing training can be given for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities for the Full Time Dispenser / Pharmacy Dispenser's role

Receive and dispense prescriptions in a timely manner
Follow data protection protocols and patient confidentiality
Work alongside assistants to ensure efficient and safe production
Maintain stock levels
Answer customer enquiries

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Full Time Dispenser / Pharmacy Dispenser's role must have a minimum of an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent) or willing to train to obtain these qualifications. I is essential you are an accurate worker with a good eye for detail. You must have excellent communication skills as you will be in daily contact with medical staff and the general public and it is essential you are able to work effectively as part of a team. The successful candidate must be able to commit to working a shift pattern between the hours of 8.30am and 6.15pm Monday to Friday,. A genuine caring, honest and positive nature is required for this role, as is the ability to take a flexible approach to your work.

Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Dispenser / Pharmacy Dispenser's role
  • Must have NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent qualification) or willing to work towards this
  • Must be flexible and able to work occasional evenings and Saturdays
  • Must have a good eye for details and be accurate
  • Caring, honest and positive working attitude is essential
