Popular inn, near Chorley, is looking to recruit a Sous Chef to the team. The role would suit someone who has experience of cooking with fresh produce in a busy, fast turnaround kitchen.

About the role

  • Preparing and cooking food to order
  • Assisting Head Chef to run the kitchen
  • Ensure food is of a high standard
  • Input towards the menu development & implementing new dishes
  • Help manage food cost, & maintain standards of health & Safety in the kitchen

About you

  • Experience as a Chef de Partie or Sous Chef in a fast-moving environment
  • Able to cook using the finest fresh ingredients
  • Ability to work on your own initiative
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Aware and understand all relevant law and legislation with regards to food handling, storage, hygiene and health and safety
  • Able to work weekends
  • Should already have the legal right to work in the UK / EU

Salary and benefits

  • £22,000 to £24,000pa
  • Permanent position
  • 28 days holiday
