The Market Risk Reporting Team (MRR) sits within Group Balance Sheet Management (GBSM) part of Group Corporate Treasury made up of around 100 colleagues based in several locations across England. The GBSM team is responsible for the management and optimisation of market risk arising from the Group's banking balance sheet and embedding the Group's market risk policy. We also provide management and regulatory reporting to a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.

An opportunity has arisen for an accomplished Manager to work closely with the Senior Manager, Market Risk Reporting in delivering best in class modelling and reporting to a broad range of stakeholders. This is a highly visible role with exposure to senior colleagues across Group Corporate Treasury and Risk, in addition to the full customer balance sheet.

You'll be accountable for the delivery of all aspects of reporting relating to Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB) for the Group, within agreed timeframes, with an additional focus on Stress testing, responsible for managing and implementing robust processes to support IRRBB objectives including reporting and other business objectives whilst establishing and building effective relationships with Risk and Finance stakeholders to support the delivery of quality and timely IRRBB reporting.

You'll manage and minimise operational risks via robust control frameworks underpinning processes, continuously strive for process improvements to enable time for value adding activity and qualitative review whilst supporting agreed change initiatives to deliver agreed objectives of the IRRBB team.

Supporting simplification of the ALM model and continued development of model assumptions, including the development of dynamic modelling and back testing is also key.

You'll have the ability to debate and influence senior stakeholders, proactively demonstrate the Group's Values and Behaviours and possess an effective communication style to confidently explain technical topics both verbally and in business commentaries. Your high level of intellectual capacity driving an ability to grasp new techniques quickly is a key requirement, alongside a positive attitude, with enthusiasm to contribute to an engaged team culture.

Self awareness and the ability to drive your own development alongside a detailed understanding of key Market Risk management techniques is required including but not limited to Net Interest Income Sensitivities & Market Value.
