Procurement Manager (Digital, Data & Technology) 

It is an exciting time for HM Land Registry (HMLR) as we embark on a major transformation programme. HMLR's ambition is to become the world’s leading land registry for speed, simplicity and an open approach to data. We are now looking for a Senior Procurement Manager to join our Procurement and Commercial Team to help us to achieve this, working in the Digital, Data and Technology category. 

Position: Senior Procurement Manager - Digital, Data & Technology 
Location: Croydon, Nottingham & Plymouth 
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent 
Hours: 37 hours per week / 36 hours per week - Croydon 
Salary: £34,656 (£37,841 Croydon) per annum

About the role: 

You will be part of a wider Procurement and Commercial Team that aspires to always deliver expert, professional commercial advice and support to our organisation. Our work is varied, and business-as-usual re-procurements are mixed with the opportunity to influence changes and improvements via new and replacement contracts. You will advise on the most appropriate routes to market to meet needs, including early market engagement with suppliers. You’ll also coach and support members of the team, helping them build their commercial knowledge, capability and experience. 

As a Senior Procurement Manager, you will work closely with a range of colleagues in the Digital, Data and Technology team and across HMLR, providing advice and guidance around procurement, contracts, sourcing, supplier management and commercial approaches, as well as ensuring we achieve great outcomes and value for money. 

The Procurement and Commercial Team is part of the Finance and Business Services Directorate in HMLR. We are currently recruiting several roles to ensure the Procurement and Commercial Team contain the right blend of skills, experience and knowledge to support HMLR’s major transformation plans. Our team plays a critical role to enable our goal of becoming a digital, data-driven organisation, with the ambition to provide our customers with cutting-edge digital services. 

About you: 

Hold or be working towards a full professional qualification in procurement & supply at MCIPS (Professional Membership of Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or equivalent. OR be willing to work towards completing the MCIPS qualification if not already held. 

You may already hold MCIPS or an equivalent qualification, or you may be studying or willing to do so; either way, you will have demonstrable relevant experience in procurement or commercial roles. You will have knowledge and some experience of Digital, Data and Technology services, products and contracts. More importantly, you will have good understanding of commercial principles and how they can be used to achieve the right contractual results. In addition, you will have the ability to collaborate, influence, and engage colleagues across the organisation, to see the potential and benefits of good commercial practice. 

You may have experience of the following: Project Manager, Project Management, Portfolio Manager, Procurement Manager, Procurement Specialist, Procurement Category Manager, Purchasing Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Buyer, Category Manager, Category Buyer, Procurement Analyst, etc.
