Customer Accounts Officer
About the role
We are recruiting for a Customer Accounts Officer to join our busy team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of excellent services to customers through the effective prevention and management of customer arrears.
You will routinely monitor accounts, carry out recommendations including home visits, telephoning or writing to customers or their representatives in accordance with the procedures. You will prepare court paperwork and attend possession hearings and evictions. You will make full use of the Association’s information technology system and record all actions taken.
It is essential the successful candidate has a clear understanding of universal credit.
You will be a good team player with the ability to work to tight deadlines and sometimes under pressure.
A Housing qualification is desirable for this role but more importantly a proven track record of income recovery. In addition the successful candidate will have experience of office based administrative procedures and practices, the ability to run reports and collate statistical information along with a working knowledge of Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
You will need to have a thorough knowledge of Housing Law and Welfare reform.
A full UK driving license and access to a car for work purposes is essential for this role.
