This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside our expanding Milton Keynes Centre, which is the Allianz Claims Centre of Technical Excellence. We are looking to recruit a large loss Senior Claims Handler for the Claims Major Loss Team, based in Milton Keynes.

The role will involve the investigation, negotiation and settlement of motor and/or casualty claims, or first and/or third party commercial property and household claims within agreed authority levels in accordance with Company and regulatory requirements. At all times, we ensure a high standard of customer service is provided. Primary responsibility will be the proactive management of a significant case load of multi-track (£25-100k) and large loss motor and/or casualty claims (>£100k), or first and third party commercial property and household claims (>£100k).

The roles involve working to a handling authority of £100k, £150k or £250k authority dependent upon experience, with an opportunity to handle a small number of claims above authority on referral.

Main Duties
Handle personal case load pro-actively to achieve efficient and competitive settlements, ensuring claims are properly estimated and unpursued claims are closed in accordance with settlement guidelines.

Liaise with underwriters to ensure correct interpretation and application of policy wordings and appropriate knowledge transfer.

Handle allocated internal tasks, e.g. review of estimates, diary, ensuring that all are dealt with within applicable time limits.

Support the quality review processes as required, identifying and acting upon development needs with a view to minimising leakage and achieving targets. This might include assisting with supplier audits.

For the motor and casualty roles, interact with the Allianz Rehabilitation Coordinators and external suppliers to ensure effective and proactive use of rehabilitation to facilitate settlement of claims on the best economic bases. For the property role, engage and interact with Adjusters and experts.

Manage expectations of key stakeholders, e.g. our customers and brokers, ensuring that they are kept informed of developments.

Total compliance with all DPA/GDPR and Regulatory requirements.

Technical Skills Proven track record in handling multi-track motor and/or casualty claims up to £100k and/or greater than £100k, through to settlement, or handling property claims in excess of £100k. Experience Good working knowledge of English litigation system, particularly multi-track claims. Relevant experience of use of counsel, mediations, trials and face to face meetings with opposition lawyers. Good understanding of expert evidence and legal issues. Qualifications ACII qualification or progress towards is desirable
