Head of Employment
Traditional mid-sized law firm based in mid-town London seeks to consolidate its employment law capability by appointing a partner to head up a new department. Employment law matters are currently handled by partners in their corporate and litigation departments and the management committee has decided that there is sufficient work and potential to create a specialist stand-alone department.
The firm currently has a practice that covers areas of law to include corporate/commercial, dispute resolution, private client, real estate (residential, commercial and agricultural property), charities and some specialist areas for which they highly recommended in the main legal directories.
The firm is a member of several European law firm alliances which have proved successful in generating referral inward bound work from several key European jurisdictions.
The suitable candidates will currently be a partner in a small to mid-sized commercial firm in London with a track record of building a profitable practice. The aim is that the new department will become a stand-alone profit centre as well as providing corporate support to transactions generated by the corporate commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a firm that has a wonderful history and that has maintained an excellent reputation for delivering high quality legal services to its clients over many decades.
