Gas Technical Officer 

Salary: £26,737 to £32,678 per annum 
Job Type: Full Time, 12 months Fixed Term Contract 
Hours: 35 per week 
Location: Head office, South Manchester

About the role: 

The Gas Technical Officer will be responsible for co-ordinating delivering and developing a range of services to ensure that Great Places is gas service compliant to ensuring the health and safety of tenants in their homes. You will ensure the provision of excellent services to meet the needs and expectations of our customers and potential customers, working closely with other colleagues to ensure a holistic approach to delivering great services. 

You will have a good understanding of the condition of properties as relates to gas appliances and gas servicing regimes and contribute to the development of improvement programs supporting the sustainability of property, communities and tenancies. You will ensure contractors and agents meet Great Places requirements. 

About You: 

The successful candidate will have experience in providing excellent front-line customer service and of resolving queries and issues effectively in a wide range of circumstances. You will have experience of working in social housing and of implementing change and improvement. You will also be ICT literate and have excellent communication skills both verbal and written. 

Ideally you will have experience of delivering a repairs service and experience of repairs and service contract management in a Social housing environment. It would also be beneficially if you have the ability to understand technical compliance, building regulations, H&S and other regulatory frameworks relevant to the delivery of property services. Experience of working with housing-specific IT systems is also desirable. 

You may have experience of the following: Gs Technical Officer, Gas Engineer, Gas Engineering, Technical Manager, Housing Manager, Property Manager, Facilities Manager, Service Manager, etc.
