My client has an established UK and international team who pride themselves on high standards of customer service, supplying premium products into a multitude of different markets across the globe. They have gone from strength to strength over the 100 plus years they have been established and are now looking to add additional head count to their international team.

The role

Reporting into the UK Head of Sales, you will be a key member of the international team. Ideally you will be UK based and can be in the office when required, however the business is flexible and would be interested to receive applications of individuals based on patch in Scandinavia. This is an autonomous role where you will be expected to manage your own diary and prioritise your time accordingly. You will be expected to spend a significant amount of your time travelling to the various markets and making sure that are targets are achieved and budgets are delivered efficiently.

Key Responsibility's

  • Pro-actively manage the existing Customer Base, acting as the key point of contact / interface for all Customers within the Area remit. Build, maintain and manage strong Commercial relationships with these customers to maximise the quality of service provision and deliver Annual budgeted profit and plans.
  • Identify new Business opportunities, both Customer and Product, within the Area remit.
  • Monitor and review Area financial Profit and Loss information on a monthly basis to ensure delivery of budgeted commitments. Identify and highlight any opportunities, shortfalls / risks and any remedial action plans required.
  • Build and maintain high level of awareness of market trends, both industry and sector, to ensure that agreed sales plans and forecasts are optimised and that ongoing plans are aligned with market place situation. Make recommendations as to any adjustments/amendments as required/appropriate.

The person

You will have a focused, hardworking and entrepreneurial attitude to business and you will have come from a background working with branded consumer products. As a positive and passionate team player, you will not be phased by working under pressure and to deadlines with strong project management and interpersonal skills.

You will already be an experienced sales person working within international markets and ideally be based in the UK. Ideally you will have experience managing accounts in Scandinavia and be commercially focused individual, equipped with strong organisational, planning and communication skills.
