What it's like to work here

Lavenham Guildhall sits at the heart of the community in Lavenham and charts over 500 years of changing village life. A local committee is in place to assist in the management of the Guildhall.

Melford Hall is a surprising Country House. Set on the village green in Long Melford, it has a fascinating history ranging from Medieval Monastic Estate to a still lived in family home. The stories it shares with us are of changing tastes, survival against adversity, naval adventures on the high seas and family life.

This post holder works across the two properties, with 300hrs allocated to Lavenham work and 1446 allocated to Melford Hall.

What you'll be doing

Known for your attention to detail and can do attitude, you’ll help provide a comprehensive administration service to your team. As well as assisting with people’s diaries and movements, you’ll be comfortable using a variety of IT packages to help create reports, keep accurate records, and write timely and accurate internal/external communications. In essence you’ll assist with the delivery of an effective business support function.

You will take part in the Duty Management rota and also may occasionally need to work weekends, evenings and bank holidays (see further info for details).
