A Top 100 award winning independent firm based on the outskirts of Warrington are looking to appoint a soon to be or recently qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA) to join its audit and accounts team as a senior. This job opportunity has arisen due to continued growth within the firm and a desire to build on its resources at the senior level.
Your new role
As an audit and accounts senior you will be responsible for leading on a range of audit and accounts assignments. Your key duties will include the preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies, corporation tax computations, planning the audit assignments, overseeing and reviewing the audit fieldwork and taking a lead on the reporting and closing of the assignments. In this role you will deal with a wide range of clients, varying in sectors and size with turnovers up to 50 million. The majority of clients are based within the North West and, therefore, there are no away jobs involved with the audit assignments. There is an excellent progression opportunity for the successful applicant with the progression through to management within 12 - 18 months.
What you'll need to succeed
The partners are looking to appoint a soon to be or recently qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) who has trained within general practice and gained some exposure to leading audit assignments. This is a key role within the team as you will be client facing and, therefore, you must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of maintaining excellent relationships with your clients and delivering a high level of client service.
