An exciting opportunity has arisen within Cambridge Assessment for an Application Manager with a strong background in Agile Delivery. You will have the chance to shape how Agile Delivery is implemented across a multinational organisation, whilst managing a diverse portfolio of business-critical applications for our stakeholders. What you'll be doing

We are looking for a proactive individual who thrives on working in a challenging and fast paced environment. Your role will be centrally placed between the business and Senior IT Management and you will play a key role in ensuring quality at every stage of the application lifecycle.

Key Accountabilities:
  • To be responsible for the stability and functional delivery of an application or suite of applications within our Service team.
  • To be the primary contact point for an application or suite of applications and be able to provide detailed service level information as requested.
  • Influencing and implementing the strategic design of the application or the suite of applications helping to drive the backlog prioritisation in line with business strategy.
  • Shaping Application Management processes and methodologies.
  • Working to maintain a high level of productivity within your Scrum team.


What we're looking for

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of:
  • Agile delivery methodologies (in particular Scrum)
  • Successful release implementation in an application development environment.
  • Transitioning applications into operations.
  • Software development and usability design.
  • The full application life cycle, with a working knowledge of each of the relevant stages
  • Effective risk & issue management
  • Conveying technical information to a non-technical audience reaching the desired outcome/understanding for both.
  • Coaching the Development Team in self-organization and cross-functionality.
  • Coaching the Development Team in organizational environments in which Scrum is not yet fully adopted and understood.
  • Management of IT & Cloud infrastructure, operating systems, databases, Disaster Recovery etc.
