As a HR Manager at SUEZ, recycling and recovery UK, you’ll be contributing to an ever growing established recycling and recovery company that’s helping customers reduce their impact on the environment, conserve natural resources and reduce landfill.
What will I be doing as HR Manager?
The HR Manager will have their own area of Operational responsibility and will provide a customer focused service on all areas of HR with a strong emphasis on Employee Relations.
The successful candidate will be expected to manage their own time and resources efficiently to ensure that they are supporting local requirements such as managing attendance, actively taking part in recruitment as well as ensuring company-wide initiatives are bedded in.
Promoting, through good working practice and positive employee relations, the status of SUEZ being ‘a place where you will love to work’.
Providing the Operational teams with HR advice on all employment matters, and the ability to fine the correct and appropriate answer will be a key focus of this role. In addition you will be expected to pass on your knowledge and best practice to local managers to help ensure maximum self sufficiency for them.
Our ideal candidate will be a key player in the management team of ‘their’ region, and will be expected to work with the Regional Manager and Regional Director on both short term and longer term issues, projects and goals. A good understanding on managing change, working with Trade Unions and TUPE is key to this role.
You will be expected to participate in creating an appropriate HR plan for your part of the business, and you will be leading various longer term HR projects, such as Succession Planning and ensuring our Training & Development needs are appropriate and meet the needs of SUEZ.
The HR Manager will ensure that the performance of all employees is effectively managed ensuring that underperformance is addressed and excellent performance is recognized. In partnership with the Learning & Development department, you will help manage the development all employees, ensuring that they have the skills and experience to deliver both their current role and be prepared for future roles within SUEZ.
What are the requirements?
The successful applicant will ideally be CIPD or part qualified or currently studying towards this Level 7 qualification. At least two years experience of managing similar issues across a multi site business and the ability to manage your own time are essential for this role.
This role requires candidates to have a full driving licence as there is significant travel required around the South East therefore the role would best suit a candidate that has easy access to the M3, A3, M4 and SW part of the M25.
