JOB TITLE: Corporate Partnerships Manager

SALARY: GBP36,000 per annum

THE COMPANY: Since 1863, our client has worked to ensure older people can live without fear of poverty, loneliness and neglect. But they've done it all quietly, behind the scenes. Now they have plans to offer their independent information, advice and friendship services to tens of thousands more older people and their families, and to use their service delivery experience to campaign for the UK to be a better country in which to grow old. To help support their ambitious plans our client is now looking for a Corporate Partnerships Manager based in Kensington, London.

THE ROLE: The Corporate Partnerships Manager will work within the Partnerships team of the Fundraising Department. The role will involve developing a corporate fundraising programme including new business development and the implementation of a relationship management and stewardship programme that delivers a consistently high level of partner satisfaction and drives partner loyalty. The role will need to develop and maintain a series of processes, systems and protocols for managing an effective and high performing corporate partnership function.

Key Responsibilities of the Corporate Partnerships Manager role to include:-
  • Develop a corporate fundraising programme to deliver agreed income targets.
  • Establish a robust approach to identifying corporate prospects that are a good fit with the charity, including the creation of a prospect pipeline and cultivation plans to develop relationships in a planned and structured way.
  • Develop a strong case for support that presents measured outcomes from partners' support, explore stories of lives being transformed and showcase compelling case studies.
  • Develop and enforce strong policies - such as partnership MOU's - to ensure reputational risk or threat to the charity's independence and values is minimalised.
  • Work with colleagues and senior volunteers to identify existing networks and companies with a clear fit to the values and mission of the charity.
  • Develop a strong relationship management and stewardship approach to maximize corporate partner's satisfaction and loyalty to fully realise the potential of each partnership.
  • Manage the Payroll Giving scheme and develop the relationships and stewardship within this.
Other Duties
  • Ensure all prospect approaches, and income/expenditure, is tracked consistently through effective use ThankQ.
  • Contribute to and support other team and departmental work as appropriate
  • Provide timely and informative reports to line manager on progress being made against KPIs and overall income targets.
THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate will have the excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage effectively with key internal and external stakeholders both in person and via telephone/email across a variety of levels and disciplines, including Heads of department, service users, volunteers and members of the public.

Essential criteria for the Corporate Partnerships Manager:
  • Good IT skills including use of Microsoft Office packages
  • Experience of success within the charity sector as a corporate fundraiser, or in the commercial sector in a relationship management, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), or sales role - involving management of external partnerships.
  • Experience of securing targeted income through new business development, research and approaching new prospects, following up on leads and securing income.
  • Experience of writing successful proposals and pitches tailored to the corporate sector, as well as demonstrating an ability to be articulate, persuasive and credible with all audiences.
  • Experience of securing multi-year, high-performing, partnerships, which focus on a range of different activities.
  • Experience of cultivating and stewarding strong relationships to expand and increase the engagement of the partnership overtime.
  • Experience of working cross organizationally.
