Our client, a leading aerospace component and systems manufacturer is expanding and developing its operation in the Midlands. As part of this change, they now need a qualified and experienced Production/Manufacturing Engineer join their existing team and strengthen their capability to both produce efficiently and innovate within their manufacturing processes.

Reporting to the head of Production Engineering, this role will be technically challenging, diverse in nature and heavily involved with other teams across the business.
Optimising efficiency with available manpower and equipment, by using state of the art manufacturing techniques will be your key goal. Within this remit, you will;
  • Manage the justification for and sourcing of new equipment and processes,
  • Produce, check & improve operational & tooling layouts,
  • Program CNC & MMC equipment when necessary,
  • Create / verify production time estimates,
  • Check and update process routings
  • Advise on manufacturing implications of new or modified designs



As the ideal candidate, you will already be a proven Production / Manufacturing Engineer with demonstrable success in a similar role, ideally but not essentially gained within Aerospace manufacturing. You may be apprentice trained, or have come through the university route, but either way you will be of graduate calibre, intelligent, detail orientated and a strong communicator at all levels.

You will have a high level of competence in CAM (computer aided manufacturing) and CAPP (Computer-aided process planning) and a high level of competence with engineering drawings.
