Robert Half are pleased to be recruiting for a successful organisation based in Portsmouth, seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join them on a full time, permanent basis. This is a varied role, seeking a qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with experience managing staff to complete the following responsibilities:
  • Ensure all Company Financial Policies and Procedures are adhered to across the Company.
  • Identify areas of potential financial risk and recommend preventative action
  • Implement all internal and external audit recommendations related to Central Support Services
  • Manage the Company's cash flow and ensure adequate funding to meet business requirements
  • Manage Company's insurance arrangements including policy renewal declaration
  • Manage the debtor control policy, including relationship with credit insurer
  • Ensure compliance with VAT and Duty requirements of Customs &Excise
  • Ensure fixed assets are recorded and controlled in line with procedures
  • Ensure that information required for month end reporting is accurate and produced on time for specified areas
  • Complete annual tax pack and liaise with group tax department
  • Monitor Capital Expenditure against approvals and provide feedback where appropriate
  • Provide financial support and advice to Central Support Services including capital project appraisals and budget proposals
  • Ensure financial records relating to Central Support Services are updated and monitored on a monthly basis
  • Liaise with FP&A manager to ensure that finance service is effective and properly co-ordinated
  • Prepare Statutory Accounts
  • Control the Document Retention Policy for Finance

Your Profile

The successful candidate will have the following skillset:
  • Fully qualified - ACCA/ACA/CIMA
  • Financial Accounting experience
  • Audit experience (liaising with external auditors)
  • Intercompany transactions experience
  • Treasury Management would be beneficial
  • Cashflow Management experience would be beneficial
  • Happy to liaise with colleagues across the business

Salary & Benefits

Package of circa GBP50k plus fantastic benefits.
