The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy brings together responsibilities for business, industrial strategy, science, innovation, energy and climate change. Our work is huge in its scope - from leading the government’s relationship with business, to championing world-leading research and tackling climate change.
As a core member of our Innovation Delivery team, you’ll lead on a number of initiatives to deliver our policies and programmes. Your responsibilities will range from scoping projects, to writing business cases to secure funding, and crafting delivery plans. We’ll also look to you to monitor and evaluate projects, and provide regular reports on progress, risk and finance to senior officials. Our policy officials will rely on your expert support. Along the way, you’ll also work closely with a host of stakeholders including industry, academia and research and development providers.
First and foremost, you are an experienced project manager with expertise in a variety of project management techniques. It is your way with people that really sets you apart. You will bring to the role a proven flair for communicating with diverse individuals and building trusting relationships. In particular, you have a demonstrable ability to collaborate with technical specialists.
