Salary: up to £67,162 dependent upon the skills and experience that is being brought to the role plus an Employer Pension contribution worth around £7,000.  For exceptional candidates an additional £1,000 market supplement allowance may be available.

Location: Coventry. Manchester and Sheffield are also possible with a minimum of two days per week in Coventry.

As a Principal Architect, you will provide excellent technical leadership across the Department. You will own the IT strategies for a major central government department and have a proven track record in delivering cloud-based services to end users.

To succeed you will have significant knowledge of the technology market and be an expert in Cloud and Microsoft Azure. A strong negotiator and can demonstrate evidence of building relationships and credibility with senior stakeholders. You will be a strong motivator, able to inspire your team, influence senior managers, and communicate with both technical and non-technical audience. Preferably educated to Degree level, and TOGAF qualified. Most importantly, you will be genuinely interested in DfE, and have an eagerness to influence how digital services are delivered.
