Market Leading Builders Merchant requires an ambitious Branch Manager with experience of working in a merchants or a similar industry, to join their very successful Oxford branch.

Our client is one of the biggest brands in the building and construction industry, they offer their customer the best products and choice. They are a multi-billion pound turnover business and can offer you excellent career prospects and training. Due to their ever expanding business this brand is now looking to recruit an experienced Branch Manager with a strong interest in the trade and construction industry, ideally from a builders merchant background, to expand the growth of the Branch.

The successful Branch Manager will be rewarded with a basic salary up to GBP36,000 with a significant bonus potential. In addition they are offering an excellent training and development plan as well as opportunities to progress to Senior Management!

As Branch Manager you will be responsible for driving the day to day growth of your business, responsible for profit & loss, overseeing staff whilst ensuring that health and safety is adhered to. You will be commercially aware, with the ability to influence your team and drive sales.

You will ensure that
*customers receive a great service when using your branch
*your team is properly trained and motivated
*you build branch sales and profits
*you generate new customers
*you run an efficient and effective operation by managing your stock and properly utilising your vehicles
*all mandatory training is completed and the branch is a safe place to work

The ideal candidate will be expected to have a good understanding of the builders merchant industry and the kinds of products that are sold. You will also need a very good understanding of the requirements of our customers in order to provide great service, with experience of managing a diverse team. You need to be energetic, proactive, organised and decisive in order to succeed in the position and develop the Branch towards further success.
