London South East Colleges (LSEC) is new. We are the result of the merger of 3 colleges and are the leading Further and Higher Education College in South East London.
The HR Department is very busy and we have an exciting and fast paced agenda ahead to ensure that we attract and retain the very best talent, our students receive an outstanding experience and we support a number of innovative plans for the College.
To ensure that the HR Department can meet these demands and add value to all areas of the College we have identified the need for a new role of Learning and Development Manager.
Reporting to the Deputy Director of HR, the Learning and Development Manager will lead the long term development of employee skills, implement strategies to grow and retain skills and talent and work with managers and other professionals to fully equip staff to carry out their roles to the highest standard. You will also be responsible for helping to implement the College's new behavioural competency framework and identifying and securing management training from the apprenticeship levy.
The successful candidate will have a record of adding value in the learning and development function, and a proven record of designing and delivering training programmes. An up to date knowledge and familiarity with both modern and more traditional training methods is also required.
As the College supports a number of children and vulnerable adults, all staff are exempt from Section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Accordingly, most staff will be subject to either a 'Standard' or 'Enhanced' DBS (formerly CRB) check.
Informal discussions with the Deputy Director of HR are welcome. Please contact Maria Harding (Deputy Director of HR) on x7480
