Technical Workshop Manager

As the Workshop Manager within our technical configuration team, you will manage a team of 10 technicians to ensure that staff are motivated and production targets are met. The Workshop Manager will take the lead in managing the technical staff and day to day operations, dealing with staff performance and department efficiency.

Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Motivate and manage a team of 10 technicians; delegating tasks, administering appraisals, 1:1s, grievances.
  • Maintain and broaden communication within the technical team and between different departments, allowing for better quality output that meets customer requirements.
  • Monitoring the technical department to improve workflow, and reduce errors and costs.
  • Maintaining order, H&S and cleanliness in the work environment.
  • Assist with mentoring and onboarding new starters eg technicians.
  • Advising on changes and trends within the technology marketplace and the activities of competitors.
  • To implement and maintain a suite of KPI's to the department.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Have excellent organisation and communication skills.
  • Have attention to detail and accurate record information.
  • Be able to work independently and follow own initiative.
  • Be adaptive and flexible to a range of tasks.
  • Have basic understanding of EPoS systems and hospitality IT.
  • Have working knowledge of KPIs & SLAs.
  • Have experience of managing change.
  • Have experience in disclipinaries, grievances and appraisals.
  • Have experience using warehouse management systems (desirable)
  • Understanding of warranty repair process

The hours of work are full time, Monday to Friday 08:30-17:30.
