Marketing and Communications Officer

Fixed term contract until 30.09.19

The West Yorkshire Consortium of Colleges (WYCC) is a partnership between the seven Further Education Colleges in West Yorkshire. In 2016, the seven colleges developed a new Joint Venture that unites the region’s further education sector to work together to help improve the skills of the local workforce and ultimately  improve productivity across the Leeds City Region.

As a result the WYCC is now seeking experienced individuals to join its team in delivering a number of skills projects across Leeds City Region funded through the European Strategic Investment Fund. The funding will deliver a number of three year projects designed to improve the skills levels of individuals working together with partners and stakeholders to fulfil the region’s skills priorities.

The post holder will be pivotal in developing effective marketing & communications strategies for the delivery of the ESIF funded contracts across Leeds City Region. Ensuring consistent communications are deployed resulting in effective engagement of businesses & stakeholders by promoting the project aims, ambitions and achievements, and help ensure that the right participants and businesses are effectively engaged. The successful officer will be responsible for deciding how these objectives are achieved by developing and implementing the programmes communication plan, and PR strategy.
