Deputy Director, Financial Control
- Do you have strong technical accounting and financial ability with highly developed analytical skills?
- Are you CCAB, CIMA or equivalent, qualified and with at least five years post-qualified experience in a relevant field?
- Are you able to demonstrate evidence of strategic thinking and maintaining a view of the big picture, whilst ensuring quality of delivery at a detailed level?

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Finance Directorate in the Department for Health. The Finance Directorate has responsibility for the financial management of the health Sector, with a spend of well over £110bn per annum and a capital budget of around 4bn.
This post is at the heart of finance within the department and the wider health and social care, providing direct support to the Finance Director (FD), Director General Finance (FDG) and Accounting Officer.
As the Deputy Director, Financial Control you will be responsible for leading the Financial Control as well as leading a team of around 20 staff. You will also be leading on finance projects across the department.
