The Department for International Development (DFID) leads the UK’s work to end extreme poverty. We're ending the need for aid by creating jobs, unlocking the potential of girls and women and helping to save lives when humanitarian emergencies hit.
We’re looking to recruit senior individuals who can lead, inspire, empower and confidently engage teams to end extreme poverty and who wish to be leaders either within international development or the Civil Service.
You will be able to articulate clearly how you can deliver our commitments by:
- setting strategic direction;
- shaping and integrating policy;
- leading and managing programmes and teams to deliver;
- working with and influencing Ministers and stakeholders;
- building capability;
- maintaining DFID’s performance and reputation;
- contributing to organisational goals and improvement.
DFID offers a generous reward package. As well as a salary of £72,000 per annum; the package includes membership of the Civil Service Pension scheme arrangements. Any allowances for overseas posts will be discussed at the assessment centre with candidates.
