The Role

Our IT, Digital & Creative Department is looking for an Art & Design Lecturer who will inspire our Level 1 to Level 5 vocational students through their teaching. As Art & Design Lecturer you will deliver and develop, teach and assess on the the Art & Design/ Digital media courses.

Contributing to the curriculum development within the department, you will also be actively involved in the recruitment,interviewing, selection and counselling of students. In this role you will liaise with several teams within the College to ensure an exceptional learner experience.

The Person

The successful applicant will be an experienced educator with a passion for delivering student success and driven to deliver continuous improvement. You will have a demonstrable track record in delivering innovative and creative teaching and learning and an up to date in depth knowledge of curriculum delivery.

Along with a relevant degree,a teaching qualification and evidence of CPD, you will also have:

  • A demonstrable ability to use inspiring teaching methods, produce engaging teaching materials and maintain up-to-date schemes of work.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • A commitment to the ethos of team work.
  • Demonstrable experience of teaching art & design, with a focus on digital delivery.
  • A Level 4 teaching qualification (e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE).
