Business Development Executive

Reports to: Head of New Business

Salary: GBP28,000 - GBP30,000 + Uncapped Bonus

Location: London

*Candidates with 12 - 36 months sales experience considered, preferably in (but not limited to) B2B media sales or information sales*

I am currently working with the UK's leader in Marketing Research & Intelligence who are now looking to add to their growing sales team.

This role is focussed on winning new business subscriptions from 3 key customer groups; Media Owners, Advertising Agencies & Marketing Services organisations.

The Client

The client puts a complete world of intelligence at the fingertips of the media and marketing industry. Through Business Development, they provide our clients with the advertising information they need to grow their business.

They provide in-depth marketing and advertising intelligence. Their portfolio is delivered digitally through online services that are updated on a daily basis.

Key Accountabilities

  • Meet & exceed targets - monthly, quarterly & annually
  • Engage prospective subscribers over the phone & in person
  • Exceed activity based Key Performance Indicators
  • Provide accurate weekly forecasts & manage pipeline effectively
  • Follow up marketing activity
  • Ensure details gathered from prospects are captured on SalesForce

Candidate needs to have:

  • 2-3 years of experience within market (or 1 strong year)
  • Proven track record of achieving target
  • 100% New Business Mentality
  • Resilience - comfortable in picking up the phone
  • Detailed understanding of the prospects needs/bespoke
  • Good Questioning and Listening Skills
  • More of a consultative approach
