Director, Tax Strategy and Professionalism and Director, HMRC Strategy
This is an exciting time to be joining HMRC as we transform our organisation and the tax system for our customers. HMRC’s customer base is huge and our role has never been more important – bringing in the money that pays for public services and providing financial support to families.
We have two high-profile Director posts based in HMRC’s Customer Strategy and Tax Design group. The Group brings together responsibility for the Department’s organisational strategy, tax policy and analysis, data exploitation, process transformation and customer insight in one place, with the aim of drawing on all of this expertise to support the delivery of a modern tax system and tax administration for our customers and for the government.
HMRC’s Director of Strategy is responsible for developing and articulating HMRC's strategies for achieving its vision and commitments, both in the period of the 2015 Spending Review and beyond, ensuring that the Department executes the strategies and evaluating their performance.
HMRC’s Director of Tax Strategy and Professionalism is responsible for managing HMRC’s strategic partnership with HM Treasury on tax policy making and planning for HMRC’s 17,000 thousand-strong tax profession.
If either of these roles excite you, and you believe you have the skills, experience and enjoy working in a fast paced, intellectually stimulating environment and are keen to bring new thinking to the challenges we face then we'd love to hear from you.
