Job Title: Lead Generation & Telesales
Salary: GBP20,000 - GBP30,000pa depending on experience + Bonuses

My client is the leading UK search engine for information on people, businesses and places with 7 million monthly visitors. Its rich databases hold more than a billion records and include information on almost every adult, business, property and school in the UK. People and businesses use them for a wide range of different reasons ranging from tracing or identifying individuals for business purposes, finding lost friends and family, finding a business, or researching schools or properties.
They have recently launched a completely unique SaaS tool which allows non-technical users to investigate people and businesses through its amazing graphical interface. The service is targeted at organisations for the purpose of fraud investigation, law enforcement, debt collection, due diligence etc. Unlike traditional investigative tools, it allows users to immediately discover and visualize hidden connections between nodes.
This is an opportunity to join an exciting technology business and to grow alongside this new product's success. The role will focus on generating new sales leads for follow-up by the field sales team combined with selling over the telephone where no face-to-face meetings are necessary. Leads will be from a combination of the company's marketing funnel and cold calling. You'll be contacting senior decision makers to discuss their current requirements and explain and demonstrate the solution on offer. You will have targets on the number of customer contacts, meetings organized and direct sales made.
Candidates should be able to show a drive and determination to succeed in a sales environment. They will enjoy the telesales process, be comfortable with cold calling, able to become very adept at product demos and overcoming sales objections.
- Source new business leads by following up marketing leads and by cold calling
- Arrange sales meetings where appropriate
- Qualify prospects thoroughly
- Close new business sales where face-to-face meetings are not required
- Develop an understanding for the potential client's requirements
- Demonstrate the tools capabilities to prospects via Webex
- Work closely with field sales to achieve closure on new accounts
- Update CRM system to provide and maintain a record of all activities
- Previous experience in a B2B lead generation and/or telesales role is essential
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Experience using CRM systems
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
