Offender Resettlement Workers - Bank Staff
Do you have experience of housing law and debt advice and of employment intervention? Do you also have a good understanding of the issues affecting offenders and people who are homeless? If so, join our growing bank of Resettlement Workers.
We are building up a bank of Resettlement Workers to join our Transforming Rehabilitation teams in Lancashire, South Cumbria, Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Humber, Lincoln and North Yorkshire.
Transforming Rehabilitation is a service that focuses on providing specialist housing, finance and debt interventions and offering intensive support over the periods of time where risk of offending is at its highest.
Working in both community and custodial settings, you will deliver a professional, impartial, pragmatic and outcome-focused resettlement service to referred offenders. You will be covering annual leave, sickness and gaps in recruitment. In return you can expect to be included in full team meetings and mandatory training to ensure ongoing development and communication.
Resettlement Workers will be responsible for:
- Completion of initial needs and risk assessments for each offender
- Completion of agreed housing, finance and debt interventions
- Co-ordination of employment and 'other pathway' interventions by managing referrals to appropriate providers
- Ensuring case details are entered onto the agreed Case Management systems (such as OASys, CRC systems and Shelter recording tool) accurately and punctually.
Some locations are difficult to reach with the use of public transport so it is preferable for candidates to have a full driver's licence and access to a vehicle with relevant insurance.
