This is a challenging high profile HR Director post in the Senior Civil Service, the successful candidate will be excellent, a strategic HR leader with a breadth of experience, in both specialist and generalist areas gained whilst working in large scale, complex organisations.
HR and the HR Director in particular have a vital role to play in transforming Border Force from a customs/immigration focused organisation towards an intelligence-led law enforcement agency. The HR Director will be at the forefront of driving increased operational effectiveness and efficiency by developing and providing excellent strategic HR solutions; building robust employee and Trade Union engagement and increasing collaborative working with stakeholders in other law enforcing agencies.
We are looking for someone who is an experienced HR leader and a fully qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) with a strong and credible track record of successfully delivering at a senior level in HR roles, particularly business partnering at Senior Leadership Team level, and employee relations.
