With over 40 years’ experience as specialists in political monitoring, Randall’s provides comprehensive coverage of Westminster, Whitehall, the Scottish Parliament and the Welsh, Northern Ireland and Greater London Assemblies. We’re looking for hardworking and reliable individuals to produce reports from home on Parliamentary select committee sessions and debates, with a wide range of subjects covered.

Select Committee Summaries

These hearings are streamed online and are available to view in real time or are archived as soon as the session is finished. We produce two type of reports – short briefings (2 pages) or longer summaries (5-6 pages). All reports need to be with us by 10.00 am the following day.

Debate Summaries

Debate transcripts are published on the Parliament website around 3 hours after taking place. Reporters should summarise the key points of the debate in a series of bullet points (length dependent on type of debate) and send over by 8.00 am.

Candidates should:

  •  Be flexible – you will be assigned reports on a weekly basis (when required and dependent on availability). This will most likely require evening or early morning work and reports must be with us by the given deadline.
  •  Have excellent writing skills – the reports should be coherent and concise. Attention to detail is vital.
  •  Be reliable – reports should be produced on time and to a high standard.
  •  Experience of having worked in Parliament or public affairs would be beneficial, but not essential.
