Luton, Beds based Part time Office Manager required on a temporary to possible permanent basis if you are the right person! Hours : 30 Hours per week made up as follows: Mon - 9.30am - 2.30pm Tues - 930am - 230pm Weds - 930am -230pm Thurs - 930am - 230pm Sat - 930-1pm The remaining time (6.5hours) is accounted for mainly by end of the day office / admin requirements plus Board meetings and other occasional out-of-office activities. Salary: circa £22,500 for the 30 hours per week The Company: a charity based company with a great history and great structure working in the the world of finances. The Role: As an office manager, this role is based very much on someone that has great motivational, team management (small team of 2),very compliance led and aware with an inspirational attitude. Some that really cares about their team, their clients and the service they offer. Duties: - promotes the charity and it service offerings to enhance awareness and recruit volunteers - manages and develops a small team of 2 - enhance the investments of shareholders to the charity by promoting the services and offering available to them - engage to the highest level of excellent customer services to the customers of the charity - advise and inform the charities investors to the optimum - adhere to all compliance with all regulatory and financial controls, reporting to the Board of Directors. - act as the Senior Financial Officer - hold the PRA/FCA Approved Person role of ‘Systems and Control’ - work with the Board, to ensure that all the charities targets are met. - Maintain a good working knowledge of the Financial Services Industry as it relates to this charity - Be responsible with the Compliance Officer for the organisation’s compliance with all legal, regulatory and financial requirements, monitoring and reporting to regulatory bodies and work with the compliance manager to introduce any changes - Prepare Board reports and Annual Report for the AGM with the Credit Union’s Auditor and the Treasurer. - Ensure that the charity is in a sound financial position at all times and that its assets are protected managing and reporting the charities finances against pre-determined budgets and reporting at board meetings - Perform credit analysis and credit control duties to ensure payments due are met - Ensure complaints are dealt with in a timely and professional manner and that a complaints management system is maintained in line with FCA requirements, with serious complaints being promptly escalated to the complaints Officer for resolution. - oversee loans decisions and to ensure loan deficiency levels are maintained within target with an effective and timely collection policy. - Ensure that all the administrative, IT and health and safety systems are fit for purpose and, as far as possible future proofed. - Work with the Compliance Officer, to ensure that all staff and volunteers comply with the charities Security and Data Protection policies so that member data and the charities reputation are safeguarded, and legal requirements complied with at all times. - Maintain the Office Procedures and Policies Manual and with the Compliance Officer, ensure all policies and procedures are complied with - Undertake such other duties and responsibilities as are commensurate with the post.
