My client school are currently seeking an outstanding Science graduate to fulfil a Science Teaching Assistant vacancy. This role is to commence ASAP and continue on a part-time, long-term basis. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background and show the passion and enthusiasm to work within a secondary school’s Science department helping the teaching staff to support pupils in reaching their goals

Located within a commutable distance from Bridgwater, Taunton and Weston-Super-Mare this highly regarded secondary school is easily accessible from the M5 corridor. This school has developed an excellent reputation within the local community and is a popular choice for local parents.

As a Science Teaching Assistant, you will assist the Head of Department and teachers within Department in the provision of a stable, caring and supportive learning environment, which enables students to achieve their full potential and facilitates their social and moral development, covering for absent Science teachers when possible. You will be required to embrace the school’s ethos, learn from the staff around you, and utilise your own initiative to provide excellent classroom support and aid in the development of those pupils you work with.

-Prior experience of working with children preferred though not essential
-Excellent opportunity to gain practical experience ahead of teacher training
-£55-£65 per day
