ABOUT TRO

TRO is a global brand experience agency with over 30 years’ events management experience, with a host of awards for our work on brands such as Google, Nike, Volvo, Lucozade, BMW, MINI, Guinness, Nissan and many more. In the UK, we run thousands of events every year ranging from small stands at county shows to major sporting activations.

We are looking for Stand Managers to join our events team this Summer. You will be travelling around the country working at various events, such as county shows, sporting events and shopping centres. You will be responsible for the event kit from preparation to set-up and pack down. A physical but varied and rewarding job.

THE ROLE

Our Stand Managers need to be outgoing, confident, approachable and certainly comfortable engaging with members of the public. A keen interest in cars and the motor industry is a must. You will partake in product training at HQ and continue to develop your brand and product knowledge throughout. A typical week includes:
  • Starting from Norwich, you will prepare the kit before transporting it to the venue.
  • You will be responsible for setting-up the kit in preparation for the event. This can involve long hours – either on your own or as part of a team (either at indoor or outdoor venues across the UK).
  • Once the event starts, you will become the face of the brand and will need great people skills and a positive attitude.
  • When the event finishes, you will pack up and return the kit back to Norwich – having a few days rest before travelling onto the next event.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Stand Manager Duties
  • Share your product knowledge with event goers, visitors & guests
  • Engage with members of the public - capturing data for further processing/sales
  • Perform event manager/team leader duties as required
  • Ensure the stand, kit & vehicles are kept clean & secure at all times
  • Host & provide refreshments for visitors

ABOUT YOU

We require candidates with a mix of skills and experience. The key must-haves are:
  • A full driving license (with a maximum of 6 points)
  • A minimum of 2 years driving experience, with some long-distance driving under your belt
  • Comfortable driving 3.5t vans is an advantage
  • Practical skills are a must, along with common sense & lots of enthusiasm
  • The ability to interact with people from all walks of life
  • Physically robust with lots of energy to cope with what is a physically demanding job
If you have a full driving license, are flexible and looking for adventure, you could be exactly who we are looking for. To apply please send your CV with cover letter here online in the first instance. Thanks for looking!
