About IKEA

This is IKEA

There’s so much to know about IKEA beyond our low-price furniture. From our sustainable sourcing of cotton and wood, to our stance on human rights; what it’s like to work for IKEA, to our democratic design approach.

Diversity & Inclusion

Diversity is a key to success, diversity comes in all shapes and sizes.

Being ourselves, and contributing with our uniqueness, makes us all grow.

At Ingka Group, we welcome all dimensions of diversity. A diverse and inclusive workplace is good for our co-workers, for our customers and our business.

We strive to have a diverse and inclusive work environment where co-workers feel valued for their uniqueness, recognised for their diverse talents, and where they can be themselves.

Inclusion

Caring for People and Diversity & Inclusion are embedded in our values and in our vision. We believe in creating a work environment where all co-workers feel welcomed, respected, supported and appreciated, no matter who they are or where they come from.

At IKEA, this means building collaborative ways of working and practicing inclusive behaviours every day. It is about making the most of our differences.

We take a stand for LGBT+ inclusion

At Ingka Group, we believe everyone deserves fair treatment and equal opportunities, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. That’s why every year, on May 17th, we celebrate IDAHOT, the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia, to stand up for the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and people of all sexual orientations and gender identities.

Gender equality

We see gender equality at the heart of human rights. Our ambition is to reach gender equality at Ingka Group which goes beyond a 50/50 gender balance in all levels and positions. Gender equality is also about creating an inclusive culture where women and men are valued for their unique contributions and impact the culture of the organisation in their unique and complementing ways. Because when people have the same opportunities to grow everyone wins.

Working with us has its rewards

We believe in people. All our co-workers bring their unique ideas and talent to work every day. We want to make sure every co-worker feels welcome and valued. Because when our co-workers grow, so does IKEA.

No matter where you are in the world, you’ll have a variety of benefits. Here are some of them.

Community engagement

At IKEA, we take our place in our local communities seriously, working hard to be good neighbours to those whose lives we’re present in. This is because in all that we do and wherever we’re present, we want to have a positive impact on people and planet.
