An exciting opportunity has arisen at our Crewe Manufacturing Facility for a part time (20 -25 hours per week) Accounts Assistant to join our team. The Accounts Assistant role is to provide day to day operational support to the purchase ledger and sales ledger functions of the company. Additionally to assist other functions within the Finance Department to ensure all Finance processes are accurate and maintained to comply with both company and Statutory requirements.

The successful candidate will have a positive outlook, a can do attitude and will be either currently enjoying a similar role or have a desire to develop a finance career. Some of the main tasks will include:

* Record and process all incoming purchase ledger invoices.
* Preparing weekly and monthly supplier payment runs for GBP, Euro and USD invoices
* Posting supplier payments, foreign, direct debits, cheques and BACS payments
* Maintain accurate files for supplier invoices received.
* Process daily customer invoice run.
* Post daily cash receipts to correct customer accounts
* Maintaining the sales ledger cash book and balancing at month end
* Dealing with invoice queries on the sales ledger and preparing ad-hoc manual invoices and credit notes
* Various ledger reporting
* Provide any information required for internal and external audits as requested
* Proactively deal with comments and complaints from suppliers and customers as they arise.
* Ensure absolute confidentiality in all accounts matters and that all security standards are fully implemented, including information security.
* Any other ad hoc duties as required including general office support and administration to support the smooth running of the Finance department
