PRS is an innovative and aspirational school that is driven by the highest expectations in everything we do. We offer a rich and diverse learning environment and work hard to ensure that all the young people in our care achieve their potential and everyone succeeds on a pastoral, extra-curricular and academic basis.
We are an over-subscribed, progressive and dynamic school in the heart of Buckinghamshire situated in a semi-rural market town between High Wycombe and Aylesbury. We are looking for both subject champions and advocates for young people to continue on our journey towards ‘Good’ and beyond and your skills and knowledge, hard work and dedication will be central to our achieving this goal in the year of your appointment.
What you will need to succeed:
A commitment to helping students achieve is essential, as is the desire to motivate and inspire students who have learning difficulties. Patience and a really good sense of humour are also vitally essential! Importantly, our new colleague will also wish to become part of the team that ensures all of our children 'Enjoy & Achieve'!
What you will receive in return:
You will have the opportunity to work in a school that firmly believes in promoting an environment that nurtures and develops our students in a friendly and supportive setting: this is the PRS way and we also want you to feel that you are part of the 'PRS family'. You will benefit from a vast support network from senior leaders and other teachers within the school and we can offer you excellent CPD opportunities, a school laptop and use of our new multi-million pound Sports Centre. Our facilities are developing all the time and we recently launched a new Sixth Form independent study area and Learning Resource Centre, with the expectation of developing further areas of the school in the near future. We are also proud to work with parents who are supportive of our school aims, ethos, vision and values.
The school is nestled in the foothills of the Chilterns and is surrounded by an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB); the vistas from our school sites and playing fields are some of the finest in the United Kingdom and we are surrounded by a rich and diverse environment, both in a historical and geographical context. We are also only 45 minutes from London and all of the main arterial routes heading to the north, south, east and west of the country. London Heathrow airport is only 30 minutes away, with four of the other main airports only within an hour’s car journey away. The River Thames and the City of Oxford are also only 30 minutes away, so we have something for everyone and our local mantra is very much 'location, location, location'!
