Oakhill Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller for a well-known local charity.
This is a newly created role and whilst this role reports into a Finance Director this is an important and senior appointment for the organisation. The primary responsibility is to oversee the organisations finances and management and development of a finance team of varying levels.
Along with the day to day finances the role is also responsible for the commercial strategy and business partnering.
Financial responsibilities will include; overseeing day to day operations, identifying and implementing improvements to policies, procedures, systems and tools, update key financial activities such as monthly management accounts, budget setting, forecasting, cash flow, variance analysis, tax and oversee the transactional and treasury functions.
This role will be ideal for a qualified accountant with previous experience of running a finance team. Strong IT / systems skills are key as the organisation is looking to improve their current system of implement a new one.
