About the College

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the major providers of education and training in Yorkshire and Humberside. Our client is one of the largest providers of A Level and vocational programmes for 16 to 19 year olds in the region. They also deliver a range of Traineeships and Apprenticeships and work with over 1,000 employers, helping them to recruit apprentices and provide bespoke training for their employees. They also offer a range of Higher Education courses for full and part-time study as well as many Adult Learning opportunities.

Our client is proud of their outstanding success rates for students studying at all levels, which have been consistently above national averages for the last 21 years, as well as the outstanding student progression into higher-level study and employment.

They are proud to have been judged as 'Outstanding' by Ofsted. They are also 'outstanding' in terms of their financial health. They have first-class resources designed with post-16 students in mind and recently opened a brand new Construction Centre. These, combined with the highest standards for individual student achievement, provides an outstanding environment for teaching and learning.

About the Role
Our client is seeking an inspirational and experienced individual to lead their Maths Division from early September, following the retirement of the current Head of Division.

Maths is a flagship division within the College. The division offers AS and A Level maths and further maths, as well as providing bespoke Level 3 maths tuition for international students and contributing maths units to Access and HE courses. The division's achievements have been consistently outstanding over many years, and there is a culture of high expectation and excellent individual support for students.

The successful applicant will also be expected to take an active role in leading their 'gifted and talented' provision, which supports the wider development of ambitious students, equipping them for the most competitive and intellectually demanding destinations.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure check.
