General Kitchen Assistants - Part Time


The main purpose of the role is to work closely with and support the Kitchen Manager/Supervisor in order to produce quality food to the required specifications. You will also work as part of a team to ensure that an efficient and effective service is given to customers at all times.

Main Duties

-Work with the Kitchen Team to produce food to a high standard on a daily basis.

-Follow instructions from the Kitchen Manager/Supervisor where required.

-Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen.

-Communicate with front-of-house colleagues in relation to orders and stock levels.

-Assist the Kitchen Manager/Supervisor with ordering and other paperwork.

-Take temperature checks throughout the day, ensuring food is cooked and maintained at the correct temperatures.

-Ensure that areas under your control are clean after the cleaning schedule.

-Ensure that the stores and other areas of the kitchen are secure at all times.

-Report and take action in regard to customer complaints regarding food.

-Ensure compliance with all food hygiene legislation and audit requirements, maintaining records where required.

-Ensure a thorough understanding of food safety law with regular training.

-Minimise wastage, including effective stock rotation, and record all wastage appropriately.

-Be presentable at all times in proper uniform and meet the company’s personal hygiene benchmark.

-Any other duties that may reasonably be required.
