Our client, a well known and successful organisation are looking to recruit a Research Coordinator/Assistant to start ASAP . The role is temporary (on-going) Hours Mon- Weds 9:00am -5:00pm or 9:30am-5:30pm. Salary £15.00ph.

Our client are looking to appoint a Research Co-ordinator, who will also provide support to the Professor of Cancer Prevention/Director of our clients Clinical Trials Unit.

The post holder will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Professor and wider group, including diary management, arranging department meetings and events, minuting meetings and making travel arrangements. The post will maintain strict confidentiality of any patient/family/staff information and work within the General Data Protection Regulation framework.

This is an ideal role for someone with strong administrative and diary management experience, who is looking for a new challenge

Maintain complex electronic diaries. Organise all aspects of meetings and appointments including room booking, refreshments and greeting visitors.

Ensuring the Professor is prepared for meetings, including bringing forward paperwork, chasing outstanding information, and alerting to upcoming deadlines.

Provide administrative and secretarial support, including drafting correspondence, external and internal liaison, producing reports and presentations.

Support the Group in managing publications, including submissions, compliance with Open Access policies, and maintenance of publication portals.

Manage recruitment processes for the Group, completing paperwork and liaising with relevant departments within the client.

Support the Group’s website and social media presence.

Organise travel arrangements, including booking flights, accommodation, producing itineraries for any offsite and overseas meetings.

Provide support with budget management, working closely with relevant parties to secure and manage grants.

Process financial paperwork for the Professor/Group, including invoices and expenses claims

Management of department related purchases.

Overview of research budgets, including reporting and resolving queries (Training in any relevant purchasing and accounting software will be provided).

Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times, handling documentation with appropriate care and attention. This will require awareness of the General Data Projection Regulation and operating within its framework.

Manage competing deadlines and prioritise own workload with minimal supervision and in accordance with the Professor’s schedule
