We are currently seeking a driven, professional and fully IT literate accounts administrator to join a small accountancy practice based in Wetherby.

Working hours are 20 – 24 hours per week you will be the main contact for clients managing the receipt and processing of their bookkeeping. You will be required to work closely with the accountants to ensure that all clients’ bookkeeping is brought in on time, processed by the bookkeeper and checked by the accountant. This is an important role in the accounts function and requires someone who is organised and confident who can take control of the work and ensure it is seen through to delivery.

Your role will include:

Contacting clients to request records
checking the records received are correct
Processing bank statements onto the accounting software, whether that be XERO, SAGE One, Kashflow or Excel
Sending work out to the relevant bookkeeper and chasing the work up to ensure it is reviewed in time for the deadline
Liaising with senior accounting staff over progress
You will need competent IT skills, including Outlook and Excel. Experience in an accountancy environment is desirable but not essential. The right individual will be willing to learn new processes and really drive forward this key role.
