Our client is looking for a payroll administrator to join their team. The role is based in Middleborough.

The role will be mainly data input, and to assist in the migration of the payroll and pensions function to a new software system, which replaces the current system being used. The role will involve timesheet data input onto excel spread sheets, processing of necessary deductions and statutory payments, ensuring data is in line with current policies, dealing with queries in a timely manner and any ad hoc duties.

The job will include the following elements:-

• Accurate and timely data processing
• Ensuring prompt and proper payments are made to employees having made the appropriate required deductions
• Maintain and monitor accurate computer (and where relevant, manual) records in relation to payroll, pensions, leave and absence.
• Assist in the on-going administration of pension auto enrolment
• Ensure effective communication internally on all issues relating to payroll and pensions
Key Responsibility Areas:
• Ensuring prompt and proper payments are made to employees after appropriate deductions;
• Computer and other records are maintained and monitored to ensure accuracy and completeness of payroll , pension sickness and absence data;
• Pensions administration
• Internal and external communication around payroll matters

The ideal candidate needs to have or working towards a recognised payroll qualification (e.g. CIPP in payroll management, AAT with payroll module)

It is envisaged this position will be part-time, starting at 4 days per week and increasing as the role develops and at significant processing periods. This is a temporary role with the view to become a permanent for the right candidate.
