Project Manager - Ageing Better (Part Time Contract)
Middlesbrough (with the potential to work from home)
£16.11 per hour

Royal Voluntary Service is an innovative not-for-profit organisation that helps to make life better for older people in the UK. One of our latest initiatives is our Ageing Better project, which aims to support people who are lonely or isolated and get them involved with their community by volunteering.

We’re looking for a part time Project Manager to join us on a contract until 31st December 2018 and drive the success of this project in Middlesbrough.

This is your chance to become an integral member of a passionate team, make a positive impact on your community and oversee services that improve people’s lives for the better.

As the Project Manager, you’ll oversee our Ageing Better project in Middlesbrough.

In this key role, you’ll recruit and manage volunteers for community projects that have been created to meet the needs of the Middlesbrough community. You’ll oversee existing groups and ensure they are sustainable.

Specifically, you will:

- Manage the project dashboard, risk register and project timeline
- Manage project budget, income and expenditure
- Work closely with key local partners to successfully deliver the programme
- Manage the recruitment and training of volunteers
- Promote our programme locally

To be considered, you will need:

- Experience in project management
- Previous experience of delivering pilots and/or programmes in the community
- A track record of working with a range of partners to deliver a service
- Proficiency in industry standard IT systems, such as MS Office, email and the internet, ideally including Excel
- A full, valid driving licence

Organised and focused, as the Project Manager, you will have great interpersonal and communication skills. You will also have a team player mentality and superb planning abilities.

Ideally, you’ll have a degree level qualification that focused on research methods, but this isn’t essential. A background in gerontology, psychology, sociology or health would also be beneficial, as would research and data collection experience.

This is a part time role, working 28 hours per week in-line with the needs of our service.

Please note, the closing date for applications is the 9th April 2018, with interviews scheduled until the 16th April 2018.
