Northumberland College has two main campuses at Ashington and Kirkley Hall and centres at Hexham and Berwick.
We offer hundreds of full-time and part-time courses, work with students aged 14-18, mature students, higher education students and employers from numerous industry sectors.

Kirkley Hall Limited is a very busy and successful operation, which secures commercial work from across the region. In addition to running the commercial activities within Kirkley Hall Zoological Gardens, the team also manages conferences, weddings, the Cedar Tree Cafe, the Orangery Tea Rooms, the gift shop and bar services at Kirkley Hall. KHL also runs a hosts a range of events across the site including in the hall and zoo.
The post of Zoo Host provides an excellent opportunity for a proactive highly motivated person to assist in the activities at Kirkley Hall Zoological Gardens which is open weekends and school holidays.
The primary function of this post will be the educational face of Kirkley Hall Zoological Gardens. You are required to work flexibly as Kirkley Hall Zoological Gardens operates every weekend and school holiday throughout the year. The post holder will be very customer focused orientated with a high level of people and communication skills.
