This company is a dynamic and ambitious Housing Association with around 18,000 homes based in Bedford and operating throughout the Oxford to Cambridge growth corridor. The organisation employs 400 people, has an annual turnover of more than £120m and a development programme that will see it build around 3,000 new homes over the next five years.

They are passionate about providing excellent customer service; if you are too then this could be the opportunity for you. They are looking for an experienced Retirement Living Senior Support Coordinator to carry out the daily operational management of their Cambridge Extra Care and Sheltered Schemes.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee the day to day running of two schemes in Cambridge.
- Carry out reviews and manage Support Plans on a day to day basis, ensuring that residents are receiving the appropriate support to manage their tenancies and their other needs.
- Carry out pre-allocations, sign ups and other low-level Housing Management tasks as required.
- Deputise for the Team Leader when absent or as necessary.
- Manage day to day contact (as per support plan) with customers - including carrying out welfare checks, visits, phone calls, activities within schemes
- Conduct all relevant Health and Safety checks within schemes in the appropriate timeframes.
- Maintain thorough records of all contact with residents using OSKA and Orchard as appropriate.
- Deliver a range of Intensive Housing Management support as required by the resident and documented in their Support Plan.
- Carry out continuous dynamic risk assessing while carrying out daily duties.
- Potentially line manage or oversee catering staff onsite at the schemes

About you

You will:

- Demonstrate the ability to remain calm under pressure and address conflicting priorities
- Be an approachable person who is responsive to requests for help
- Have an understanding of the needs of older people
- Have experience of supporting people to remain independent
- Demonstrate an ability to use own initiative and be self-motivating particularly when working alone
- Demonstrate an ability to prioritise a varied workload
- Demonstrate strong communication skills

This role will require a basic DBS check.
