We are recruiting for a Part Time Receptionist for a brilliant company based in Taunton. The ideal candidate will come from a professional services background, although not essential. The main responsibility of this role is to provide a friendly and professional reception service to internal and external clients, supporting the Firm’s Mission Statement and reinforcing the Firm’s agreed values of “Commerciality, Aspiration, Fairness, Motivation, Commitment and Accountability".

Key Accountabilities

• Responsible for ensuring all incoming calls are answered promptly (within four rings) and redirected accurately
• Ensure clients receive a warm welcome, directing them appropriately and communicating their arrival promptly
• Deal with all enquiries both in person and on the telephone in a polite and professional manner
• Proactively deal with complaints in line with the Firm’s policy
• Communicate all messages (verbal and written) clearly, quickly and accurately
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of all data/information that is processed via Reception, being aware at all times of client confidentiality and data protection
• Ensure the reception area is clean and tidy at all times
• Ensure waiting areas, stairs, corridors and immediate external areas are tidy and free of hazards
• Direct all deliveries promptly to the appropriate member of staff
• Effectively supervise incoming and outgoing post throughout the day
• Effectively manage the receipt of monies from clients; carry out day to day cashiering duties for the office (where appropriate)
• Update all library books and other publications in a timely manner (where appropriate)
• Ensure the timely archiving of closed files and the storage/retrieval of same (where appropriate)
• Complete sickness records on a monthly basis and forward to the Yeovil Office (where appropriate)
• Undertake training as directed by the HR Manager, Reception Supervisor or Office Head
• Comply with the Firm’s compliance and quality management standards and procedures
• Conduct any other duties commensurate with the position that may be required

Part time working 25 hours
Monday 10:00 – 18:00 | Tuesday 8.30 – 14:30 | Wednesday 8:30 - 14:30 | Thursday 8.30 - 14:00 | Friday – Off.
